This notice explains how A.J Residences handles information collected through this website and enquiries about our apartments in Brufut, Wullinkamma, The Gambia.

Information you provide

When you submit an enquiry, we collect your first and last name, email address, and any phone number, apartment preference, proposed move date and message you provide. Please avoid including payment card details, identity documents or other sensitive information in the form or chat.

How your information is used

We use enquiry information to respond to questions, discuss availability and rates, and communicate about a proposed stay. Submitting the form saves a private enquiry record in our WordPress system. It also prepares an email draft in your email application; you decide whether to send that email.

Concierge chat

The property guide can answer common questions without an external AI service. If AI mode is enabled, the chat panel identifies it, and your question and up to six recent conversation messages are sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. The chat is optional; you can contact us directly instead.

The widget keeps recent conversation messages in your browser’s session storage. Our chat endpoint does not create a permanent conversation record in WordPress. External AI providers may retain information under their own policies. See OpenAI’s API data information.

Technical information

Our hosting server records technical request information, which can include IP addresses, requested pages, timestamps and browser information, to operate the website and investigate problems. Temporary request limits help protect the enquiry and chat services from abuse.

Service providers

Information may be processed by providers involved in website hosting, technical maintenance, email delivery and, when enabled, AI responses. Website fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the technical information needed to deliver them. Providers may process information outside your country.

Storage and retention

Enquiry records are stored in WordPress and remain there until removed by the property team; the enquiry system currently has no automatic expiry. Copies may also exist in emails and server backups. Retention of those copies depends on the relevant systems and any applicable recordkeeping obligations.

Your requests

You can contact us to ask about information you have provided, request a correction, or request its deletion. We may need to verify your identity before handling a request. Some information may need to be retained where required for an ongoing transaction or applicable obligations.

Booking requests

When you submit a booking request, we store your name, email, optional phone number, requested apartment, travel dates, guest count and message in our WordPress booking system. We use these details to review your request, contact you and manage your stay. The system also keeps the request reference, estimate where available, booking status and any notes entered by our team. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in the message field. You can contact us using the details above about your booking information.
